Hi, I’m Michelle (she/her)—poet, walking cliché, & resident Scorpio. I help poets find their voice & occasionally lose their minds (in a good way!) through workshops, retreats, & creative community spaces.
I’ve been writing poetry for over a decade, & I’ve authored and self-published two collections: Soul Trash, Space Garbage and Poems for the Apocalypse. My next collection, Sudden Seances, is slated for Fall 2026 from Central Avenue Publishing!
You can find more of my writing on Instagram under the name @theconstantpoet.
In 2018, I moved from Tennessee to New Orleans because it called to something deep in my soul. A few years later, my partner and I bought a house in Algiers where we live with our dog and fearless squirrel chaser, Eli. I have a day job writing marketing proposals for a national marketing firm, and I spend most weekends either binge watching TV or at a coffee shop working on poetry things.
90s baby. Scorpio. Redhead. Book collector. Swiftie. Gin girl. Intersectional feminist. Animal lover. Agnostic. Crop top enthusiast.

I am SO incredibly thrilled to announce my next (and first traditionally published collection) Sudden Seances will be published by Central Avenue Publishing!
It is slated for release in Fall of 2026, so stayed tuned!
